Spring Festivals in Branson

Spring is an exciting time of year in the city of Branson Missouri. There are a wide variety of events and activities each year which bring the city to life and make it the perfect time for a visit or family vacation. With many schools out for a holiday during the spring, there are plenty of opportunities to experience - food, shopping, family entertainment, and fun throughout the many Spring festivals going on in the Branson area.

Ozark Mountain Spring

The annual BransonFest, the festival that used to start the new season, has been replaced by the improved offerings of the Ozark Mountain Spring lineup. Unlike the one time festival, the new, all encompassing, Ozark Mountain Spring event will actually be a wide variety of seasonal events and festivals designed to entertain visitors throughout these blossoming months. Some of the most popular events will include:

• Wal-Mart FLW Bass Tournament This exciting event is the perfect activity for men and families alike. Held March 12-15, this bass tournament offers thrilling fishing and competition experiences for everyone involved. Several fun zone days are an excellent chance for children to enjoy the event while learning more about the art of fishing.

• Family Spring Break Days A wonderful excuse to take a Branson vacation, the annual Family Spring Break Days, are to be held the last two weekends in March. These fun filled days are packed full of activities that everyone in the family can enjoy doing together. Held in the Wild West illusion of Silver Dollar City, there are 20 rides, 40 unique shows, and 60 beautiful shops to keep you entertained.

• Hollister Easter Egg Hunt Come and enjoy Easter in the wholesome, family oriented city of Branson and be part of the massive annual family Easter egg hunt. Find your own colored treasures hidden in the local football field and enjoy other activities for the whole family.

• Branson Car Collector Auction If you are an automobile enthusiast, then it won’t get any better than this Branson Car Collector Auction. On April 17-18 you will get the opportunity to bid on one of the over 250 classic cars which will be on auction, or join in the action and bring your own collector car to display.

• Great American Pie Show A new addition to the Branson Spring lineup, the Great American Pie Show is fun for all ages. Pie lovers from across the country will flock to the area April 24-25 for a delicious taste of entertainment. Sponsored by Reader’s Digest, and put on by “Taste of Home” magazine, this elaborate pie contest will be held at the Branson Civic Center, and NBC’s Al Roker will be one of the surprise celebrity judges. Give your taste buds a treat with this unique and edible Spring entertainment option.

• Blue Grass and BBQ Festival Held May 13-31 at the renowned Silver Dollar City, the Blue Grass and BBQ Festival is one of the area’s biggest and most exciting festivals of the year. Performances from some of the biggest bluegrass names will be available daily, as well as a variety of delicious BBQ dinners and other all-American favorites.

• Annual Plumb Nellie Arts and Crafts Festival The term “Plumb Nellie” originated from the old English phrase used to describe the times when farmers would meet with their goods and crafts to sell them in the town square each year. A celebration of culture and heritage, artists from the entire mid west region will come to offer their wares at this unique and entertaining arts and crafts festival held May 15-17.

• Harold Bell Wright Festival and Parade Honoring the award winning writer, the Harold Bell Wright festival is a celebration held May 22-23 for the man who was responsible for helping to bring tourism to Branson in its early days. Entertainment includes a street chalk art contest, a cooking competition, and a parade.

• Branson Z Fest A week-long event centered on Dick Clark’s Area ’57, this family oriented event has hundreds of activities to entertain every member of your family during an exciting Branson vacation. With its many famous music acts, local shopping opportunities, and fine dining experiences, no one will go leave disappointed from this extensive event.
